Writing to reach you

So I was riding my bike from work, thinking about numerous things, dinner, work, the weekend, stuff... You know I write my best stuff on my bike right ? Well...I got a new bike, and I can't ride it and write yet :S So I had to remember it all...and you know how my brain acts when I try to remember stuff right ? That's right, it throws up, violently. That's why I never finish anything and can't play FaitH worth shit. Today I managed to remember a bit of it though, great stuff, progress ? Nah, probably a hiccup... So anyway, I got home and wrote down what I could remember. They say in dreaming we put all our thoughts in order and get over trauma's we experienced during the day ? Well, I almost never dream. Instead I tend to talk to myself all day, preferably in a foreign language, I'm weird like that ? So yea, I'm just ranting right now, it's all true dont worry, I'm just bad at blogging ;) So blah, my weekend was kind of crap. Friday I had a party at the sister of a friend of mine. She's an aspiring painter and works with nuts...you know, the One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest type, not the peanut kind. So anyway, I somehow always get tired, sick, blah, whatever when I'm there. So am acting like a real bastard, having slept on the couch the last party I went to there after I get drunk like a skunk, I really had no right. But hey! :) So anyway, we went home early, yay! So saturday I would be going to Nijmegen, a city some 150km from here ( in a country that's 400kmx400km that's really far...) but I decided to cancel last minute... Why ? Well, people tend to forget to call me. They are just scared of calling my house and I'm the last person in Holland without a mobile phone... That and I had to ride in a 2 person car, with 2 others and lugage.. And we had to sleep in a house that fits 4 people...we were with 11 people... So yea, they didnt really miss me anyway. They only missed me taking pics, that's all I'm good for apparently. And I sooooo wanted to go too, but not if they forget me and I get invited via someone else...bah. So...and on sunday the phone rang. It was the guy that invited me. He asked if I had a moment to talk. He ended up talking, sobbing, crying, panting, for some 90 minutes straight, then my phone battery died. So yea, I had a great weekend. And I start lines with "So" a lot. Oh yea, and I was listening to Novastar singing Never Back Down, while I typed this. Oh...and I watched E.R season 1 the final episode. Darn I love E.R! I found an online shop in holland that sells Season 2, yay! I'm a sucker for drama, it makes me feel like I'm alive. So what did I write ? It's bad, as always, but in my head it sounds so damned good. I should really learn to play an instrument. It's just a snippet, that's all I write these days. "Cos I don't wanna be with you with knives out, and i don't wanna be with you and all your doubts. I forgive you, you forget me, I forget you, you come back." I told you it was a snippet. Some day maybe I'll start putting things together, dotting the i's and all that crap. Right now I can't be bothered, I'm busy enough keeping my sanity in place, cos it's ready to make a run for it.

So yea, I bought a few DVD's this week (past 7 days anyway) So I thought I would go ahead and list them... So first I bought Season 1 of E.R, which is pretty darn good! What with all the Doug Ross and Carol Hathaway stuff going on...yum... Then I bought The City of Lost Children (La Cité des Enfants Perdus) It's this great looking french spoken movie about a mad scientist that steals the dreams of children (and the children themselves) because he can't dream himself. It's mighty freaky with the scientist, a faceless face in a jar (brains, eyes, speakers and mics) and a cloned guy fighring with his other 4 selves over who is the original (guy from Delicatessen) Anyway, it's really dark and weird...weirddddd. I also bought Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, your typical english "we are gangsters too" movie. 4 guys plan to win a big illegal poker game, they each have to put in cash though to be able to join. They all manage to get it together...and lose, cos the organiser cheated...:P Anyway, they even manage to owe him 500.000 pounds after the game, so now they have to get that together...or die... 3rd flick I bought was Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, great stuff. We ofcoarse all know it, but to remind you : A training camp to prepare fresh recruits for the Vietnam war. A group of young young soldiers get's the royal treatment, ass-kicking treatment that is. The training is almost as bad as the war they get send too. Almost. Won't say more cos you just have to see it if you don't know it. I didn't stop there... Today I bought 10 more DVD's and one arrived by mail. Imagining Argentina : Antonio Banderas is a psychic in Argentina during the military dictatorship. He discovers he can see what happened to the lost family members of people in his neighborhood. Then suddenly his wife (Emma Thompson), who is a reporter, disappears. He tries and tries but can't get his "powers" to work to find his own wife, all he sees are flashes. This is a great freaking movie! The Pianist : Adrien Brody is a jewish pianist in Warschau. Right after he finished playing a radio concert the Germans invade. From there on you slowly see the war develope, bans, deportations, killings. He survives all this time in the city with help from polish, jews and even a German officer (that heard him play on the radio) Great movie, a must see! That's why I bought it afteral... The Sixth Sense : Well we all know this one... Bruce Willis is a psychiatrist, one day he meets a little boy (Haley Joel Osment) with a weird mental illness...he sees dead people... So he tries to help the kid. 8MM : Nicolas Cage is a small time detective. When one day he is asked to research a small piece of 8 millimeter film he gets drawn into a crazy world of crime, prostitution and porn. Pretty soon the struggle for survival starts as others try to stop him from finding the truth. Dead Man Walking : Susan Sarandon is a nun. She is requested to help a man (Sean Penn) on Death Row in his final moments on this earth. Slowly she get's more and more info about what happened and she fights with anger and pitty. Is he guilty ? Does he deserve to die ? Fargo : Now this is the only movie I bought that I haven't seen yet, so all I can do is type whats on the back of the box... A used car salesman has so many debts that he thinks up a plan to get some "easy" cash. His inlaws are rich so he hires 2 criminals to kidnao his wife... Too bad these 2 kill 3 people right after they arrive in town. Pregnant police officer Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand) has no experience in these kind of matters but still manages to hunt the two down...eventually... Arghhhh : Bought Full Metal Jacket again...! Silly me, happens too often :S Natural Born Killers : Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis aka Mickey and Mallory are two crazy ass killers on a rampage. They wreak havoc wherever they go. The media quickly picks up on the two and blows the whole thing shy high out of proportion. Now they have no choice but to live up to all the hype...kill...kill...KILL! Quentin Tarantino wrote the original script and Stone screwed it all up, or so he says... Trainspotting : Ewan McGregor fled away from his hopeless life in Edinborough of drinking, football (soccer for the yanks) and drugs. Living in London is going great...untill his old friends show up on his doorstep... Pretty soon he is back into his old lifestyle...and he wonders how to get away again.... The score alone is worth buying this movie. Underworld performs the theme "Born Slippy" and we also hear Blur, Pulp, Elastica, Iggy Pop, Primal Scream, Lou Reed, Leftfield...and freaking many more. A classic from England. Saving Private Ryan : Tom Hanks has a mission, go to Normandy and find one of 4 brothers, the last one left alive, and bring him home. Especially the first 30 minutes are awesome as they storm the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. The Sum of All Fears : Ben Affleck (ewww) is pretty good in this flick with Morgan Freeman. He plays a CIA operative when the Cold War flares up again after the Russian president dies. The new President is a bit of a hothead, so when terrorists plan to a-bomb a championship football match to cause a war between Russia and the U.S things get icky... Good thing they have Morgan leading the CIA... So yeah, that's it...for today... I have 17 discs to watch, so bubye! ;)
