We've hit an alltime low...kinda... The number of deaths in air traffic is on its lowest point since 1945. Just 1200 and a bit people died in civil air traffic in 2003 , so thats not counting american friendly fire... Most accidents happened in North- and South-America, and 1 out of 10 in Europe...darn we are a safe bunch... EDIT : Aircrash in Egypt, 148 dead... Bad start for 2004 then... Chicago is #1 again! #1 one when it comes to murders anyway. The 3rd city of the US had the most murders once again. But the good news is...it hasnt been this low since 1967... Oh well, Al Capone used to live in Chicago, so they are used to it i guess... How many were murdered ? Only 599...compaired to the 648 in 2002 its peanuts really... New York with nearly 3 times more inhabitants got the #2 spot with "only" 596 murders. LA had only some 500 murders, give or take a little, and they were #1 in 2002 with 658. Washington had most murders per inhabitant though, they landed themselves 247 murders, that 4,3 on every 10.000 people. That's 3 times more then LA, and 6 times more then NY...lovely people there... Stones, above and below... Asif Iran didn't have enough problems after the earthquake Alah decided to pass a kidney stone... Oi ? Well, some meteorite decided to crash in Babol in Iran yesterday. There wasnt much damage but people ran like crazy after last weeks Earthquake in another part of Iran. The impact could be felt 1 kilometer away...must have been a nasty little bugger...
